Terms of Service

Leaflet is a campus social-utility research pilot operated by Leaflet (legal entity to be confirmed). It places students into small interest-based pods and helps them turn conversations into real meetups. By creating an account or using Leaflet, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Leaflet.

Leaflet is for enrolled university students who sign up with a valid campus email address from a participating school. You must be old enough to form a binding agreement in your location (generally 18+, or the age of majority where you live). We may restrict sign-ups to specific campus email domains during the pilot.

Keep your login credentials secure and provide accurate information. You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

There are two kinds of pods. Matched podsare formed for you by our matching system and are intended to be lasting — you can't casually leave, rematch, or re-queue out of one. Open pods are ones you browse and join yourself, and you can leave them at any time.

No matter the pod type, if you ever feel unsafe you always have a way out: report & leave lets you file a report and exit a matched pod immediately. An admin can also remove any member for safety or for breaking the rules.

Our community guidelines are part of these Terms. In short:

• Be kind and respectful — these are real students.
• Respect privacy — what's shared in your pod stays in your pod.
• No spam, harassment, or targeting any member.
• No adult content — no explicit or NSFW content anywhere on Leaflet.
• Nothing illegal, and nothing that puts other students at risk.

Breaking these rules can lead to removal from a pod or from Leaflet.

AI features are optional. Before Leaflet's AI reads your pod's messages to suggest prompts, polls, plans, or events, you're asked to turn them on — and you can decline. Nothing runs in the background without your consent.

The AI only works with what you put into Leaflet. It does not browse the web on your behalf or reach into anything outside the app. Because your pod and the AI can both read what you post, don't share anything you wouldn't want them to see. You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give Leaflet permission to display your content to your pod and to process it to operate the service — including the optional AI features you choose to enable. Don't post content you don't have the right to share.

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Leaflet. You may not post, send, or share content that is harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory, discriminatory, or that promotes self-harm or illegal activity — and you may not use Leaflet to bully, stalk, impersonate, or intimidate anyone.

Every pod includes the tools to act on this:

• Report — flag a message or a member. Reports reach our moderation queue with the surrounding conversation attached, so we can see the context.
• Block — stop seeing a member's content immediately, without waiting for us.
• Leave — exit a pod, with the option to file a report as you go.

We review every report and act within 24 hours. Content that violates these Terms is removed, and the account responsible is warned, removed from the pod, suspended, or permanently banned depending on severity. Serious cases are actioned immediately and without warning.

These community guidelines form part of these Terms, and you agree to them before entering your first pod.

Leaflet helps you connect; you meet and interact at your own risk. Leaflet is not legally responsible for any harm, injury, or loss arising from meetups, plans, or interactions arranged through the app. Use good judgment, meet in public, and if you're ever in danger contact your local emergency services.

You can stop using Leaflet at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these Terms or the community guidelines, or where we need to protect other students. As noted above, removal from a matched pod happens through an admin action or through report & leave.

Leaflet is a research pilot provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We may change, pause, or discontinue features while we learn what works. We don't guarantee that pods, matches, or meetups will meet your expectations.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Leaflet (legal entity to be confirmed) is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Leaflet, to the extent such limitation is permitted in your jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms as Leaflet evolves. If we make material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use Leaflet after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
